So the two privately educated men who want your vote for them to lead your country will face each other live on TV tonight. Now I know a lot of you have your opinions and most are pertinent.
However I fear a few have 'Gone down the rabbit hole' and as such are now only capable of regurgitating what they are being told at one extreme end or the other.
So before it starts would anyone like to state the following
What you expect them to say and what and the plus and minus factors?
And will there be a clear winner and who will it be?
For me
Corbyn will play the basics that have been workshopped so he will go with Schools NHS Fair play Fair pay and the notion that we can do better.
Tactics
A new policy to announce would be great as Johnson would have to answer that off the cuff and he is more than capable of saying anything as long as he deems it will come across as a negative for Corbyn.
Problems
Corbyn has a tendency to be dogmatic and unable to move to far away from his core Trotskyite beliefs which can unsettle middle England
Johnson will go for a few cliches and sound bites as he is weak on remembering facts (Even if there were any) He will go for ridicule of Corbyn and fail as Corbyn has already made a point of not personalising things. Johnson is a lightweight who studied enough of the classics to sound smart but his depth and eye for detail is very questionable.
Tactics
He will sneer at Corbyn in the hope to get the real 'Jezza' a two bob Lenin. And go with the outrageous promises he has been making, But not too much as that will have been anticipated and researched by his opponent.
Problems
He thinks he's Churchill and its his Achilles heel, if Corbyn can keep him on 21st century issues and away from sweeping hand gestures about abstract inferences to Empire and England that are designed to infer we're all way way to clever to have to have things explained to us. Johnson will falter big style.
For me Johnson has to win
Corbyn would love to win
And Corbyn is the most likely to win
Any takers?
