"PC Bollocks" would be a great, and somewhat ironic, title for an animated series about a police woman.
I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,086

I like that idea.
And I can imagine what her sergeant would be called.
One could justify her name and his by explaining that they were the ones who first complained about Fireman Sam's lack of inclusivity.
And still with people called "Sam", Sam Smith (a singer, apparently) has today come out as non-binary.
I don't blame him: I've always been non-binary and I'll tell you something else - I don't even like the decimal system!
Bloody foreign muck! What was wrong with ounces and pounds?

Margaret Atwood (author of The Handmaid's Tale) has suggested that working as a stripper empowers a woman.
She further suggests that critics should put their energy into stopping climate change rather than trying to stop women working in strip clubs.
I see her point but if women didn't work as strippers, owners of nightclubs wouldn't have to keep their central heating turned up quite so high.
These strippers might be empowering themselves but they're simultaneously destroying the planet!

In Texas, rancher Bobby Woody got a shock when he found 23 cows and calves lined up by a fence - and every one of them stone dead.
Apparently, the cattle had been standing by the fence when lightning struck it.

Now that's not very nice (snigger)
According to figures published recently, the number of legally marriageable women in Britain who are actually married has fallen below 50% - the lowest figure ever recorded.
The drop is said to reflect increasingly fewer marriages in the younger age groups.
I'm not surprised: in the olden days, marriage was seen as a lifelong commitment and couples used to promise to stay together come hell or high water. Nowadays, however, more and more marriages seem to be entered into on the basis that the partnership will remain intact until one partner or the other gets a better offer.
The world is not what it was.

Perhaps they only need a shower to all be revived again.
