As I'm sure many BCG members will be aware, several alcoholic drinks (notably beers and cocktails) have
attracted criticism from people who dislike the idea of drinks having rude, suggestive or otherwise non-politically-correct names.
Complainants will today be delighted to hear that Marks & Spencer have abandoned their porn star martini and renamed it "passion star martini".
The name was changed after a ruling by The Portman Group following, according to reports, a complaint from a member of Mumsnet who said the name suggested sexual activity.
What next? A complaint from that same source demanding that art galleries across the globe remove all examples of conceptual art?
It wouldn't surprise me.
