That wildly optimistic prediction may come back to haunt you, Stephen.
I read the news today oh boy! Page 2,075
Ste thats not project fear bud thats a Tory aim regardless of in or out it has been their policy for donkeys years. I know a few good reasons to be out myself but taken as a whole I would rather be in Europe as for me personally it works . But if if it doesn't for you then I respect your stance mate I really do.
But I'm not out to spread fear its just that none of the really good stuff thats going to happen never leaks out so it's to comment on.
Quote: Stephen Goodlad @ 22nd August 2019, 1:53 PMMost of that is straight out of project fear.
I am weirdly in awe of the whole "Project Fear' attack strategy. In one brilliant and pithy phrase Brexiteers managed to render all criticism and concern completely null and void, while at the same time indulging in their own Project Fear about millions of Turkish immigrants flooding in, etc. As a piece of propoganga it is a peerless phrase ithat would fit right in in 1984.
Maybe, just maybe, Brexit might lead to things such as the cessation of the immigrants who are on benefit given to them to be able live in this country to stop sending the benefit given to them to be able live in this country out of the country.

It is master stroke, borrowed from the arch-c**t, Trump - like 'Fake News' and "Mainstream Media" ie if it doesn't fit your worldview it'a lie.
I heard a brilliant analysis the other day from someone.
He said it's all very well going on about the "Blitz Spirit", "Believe in Britain"& "We survived the war" etc etc when talking about the fallout from No Deal & Brexit. But imagine you were cowering in the air-raid shelter, but knew that half the people in there had voted in favour of the bombs.
And Boris has the cheek to call us "collaborators"...

You're right, if we get enough cessations in our economy, in 20 years time Indian people will be joking about Geordie calls centres. "He called me a pet !" and complaining about the new British take away in Mumbai.
Quote: Stephen Goodlad @ 22nd August 2019, 10:39 AMI read that 5 Million aliens have registered with the NHS
Where?
Sources, please?

Of course, you could always take some of what I wrote out of context.
You see, I had to use that deeply offensive word 'immigrants' because...erm...it's they that are doing it.
But, if no one else is worried about that 100% truthful fact and the unjustifiable loss of cash from the UK economy then there's nothing more I can say to convince anyone it's 'wrong'.
I dunno, us bloomin' extreme, right-wing facists...!

The Lancet and NHS digital.
And I was wrong, the figure is 6.5 million

According to 'Migration Watch' - and we all know which team they bat for.
A slightly more nuanced look at the figures...

If you're worried about the strain put on the NHS, which itself has an awful lot of immigrant staff, then old people and people who make poor lifestyle choices are far more of a drain. That probably covers the BCG too.

In addition to those deductions, 4.5 million Brits live abroad and hence would feed into those stats if they ever came back in that 10 year period. 1.3 million of whom are in the EU and enjoying free health care , saving the NHS.
The real differentiator with the NHS is funding from tax revenue. Boris has only given a one off payment equivalent to 7% of his initial pledge. Health tourist cost 0.3% of NHS budget. The cost of policing it would be much higher, hence why a healthy economy will make far more difference than focusing on 0.3%.
Wills and Kate flew from Norwich to Aberdeen today on a Flybe economy flight.
Don't you just love 'em?
You know that little fly that keeps buzzing around you when you are eating your tea.
You know what you say to it......
