Midlake is a band with principle "Harmony first", as I see it.

I love them very, very much.

Thanks for the response and the two tracks which I both enjoyed.

Just reserved Antiphon and The Courage of Others from my local library. (I don't do the streaming thing.) I'm pretty sure I came across them before on a Various Artists compilation cd, but never went any further, so thanks.

Commentary on Sutton United winning 2-0 (so far) at Hartlepool on my lap top.

We won 3-1 smart arse!:)

I wish I had one of those lap-tops that only shows what you want to see.

A couple of perky Dutch bands (both sing in English) -

Iguana Death Cult - "Bright Lights"

pip blom - live at erik's house

I prefer the second one.A fit, sweaty girl drummer helps.

She certainly has a dynamic, eye-catching drumming style. The camera crew seem a bit besotted too. :)

Mystery Jets - Screwdriver (new single)

Great and sad film, and yes again RIP Mr. Fonda.

Listening to Warren Zevon in my neighbor's pool. It's 100F/38C and I'm enjoying my first beer in 5 days. I started working on the night shift Wednesday and I've had 3 hours of sleep. Kind of delirious.

I do like that song but I had it on a CBS compilation - and the needle always caught on the line "some other town."
