Just watched the second film of "hilarious comedies" in a box set of 1950s British films from Network, which was called Into The Blue starring Michael Wilding.
Now some of you might know that my wife and I love British B&W films of the pre- and post-WWII period and this is the reason my son bought us this small box set for Christmas, which we have only just now got around to watching.
The first one we watched Happy Is The Bride was very watchable with some great British actors of note, BUT this Into The Blue is without doubt one of the biggest load of tosh I have seen in a long time.
"Hilarious comedy" - I THINK NOT!!
I lost the will to live after about 20 minutes and if I had been watching it at the cinema when it was released would have walked out half way through and asked for my money back!
