Just to switch up the conversation:
I read a lot of Children's Fiction because I run a Boy's Book Club for boy between 9 and 12. Often to books they choose are terribly simplistic (many children's fantasy) or insanely stupid (Butt Zombies From Uranus for example is an actual title the kids love). I don't blame them because thinking back I didn't read much better books when I was their age but from time to time they surprise me with books I actually enjoy.
I've heard how some people on this forum dislike reading so I thought I'd mention a few of these books that are entertaining, decently written and best of all short.
Today my group will be discussing Artemis Foul. I actually really liked this book thought it was creative and fun and would suggest it to those looking for a quick fun read. It's about an boy from a criminal family who is an evil genius trying to take over the crime world. Very different from most books and I thought some of the subject matter was a little risky for a kids book (drunk faeries, murder, poisoning, breaking fingers, ect..).
Anyone else?
