Absolutely Fabulous Page 9

Seeing the news herewith on BCG that Jennifer is definitely not making any more in any form, it made me peruse the IMDb as I was curious when I saw Sue Perkins name mentioned, and it seems she did have a writing credit for 8 episodes, but then I wondered why she never appeared in any of them as it was one of those series that had masses of cameo appearances of people as themselves or acting a part.

Earlier today, I showed my daughter the clip where Eddy punches Gerald for Saffy. Great scene...and one which shows there is indeed a hint of motherly instinct simmering somewhere under the surface.

I love the episode where they are on This Morning and Patsy keeps saying "yeah, cheers, thanks a lot" makes me laugh just thinking about it. That scene is similar to when Richie and Eddie appear on This Morning in Filthy Rich and Catflap and go on a lager frenzy the night before.

Coincidentally, I've spent the day with my son watching film and TV clips in which a man punches a woman in the face.

Great scenes!

At one point, having watched several such incidents, he clapped his hands together and exclaimed: "This is absolutely fabulous!"

Our families clearly have a lot in common, not least an appreciation for Jennifer Saunders and her wonderful sitcom.

I remember going to the cinema to see Clint Eastwood's debut with "Play Misty For Me" (an EXCELLENT film!!) and when he punched the woman in the face (I won't elaborate for fear of spoilers) the whole cinema cheered! So funny as all the audience then laughed at them all cheering in unison. Great night. :D

Ha ha, wish I'd been there. It really is an excellent film, ripped off by the more successful Fatal Attraction. And what a punch, as you'd expect from Dirty Harry.

I read at the time that she was invited to by Saunders. Vague idea it was to help get more female writers on TV, which her earlier sitcom Girls On Top attempted to do.

Had the box set for my birthday and just started watching the first of ELEVEN discs!!

I'd forgotten just how funny it was, especially Patsy's "aversion" to Saffy - creases me up every time. ?

Yeah, but it was total shit.
I was going to buy the Absolutely Fabulous box set. Then I just told my parents I'm gay. Saved time.
I remember when this came out (tee hee) and an article said, 'All the main actresses have names starting with J.' Sounds like one of my Interesting Facts About The Spice Girls.
