You could say that about Monkhouse, but I couldn't possibly comment.

Have I mentioned esewhere that I've got tickets to see the Rutles in a couple of weeks. The prefab Four.
I'm not sure if the original lineup will be performing. Stig O'Hara Barry Wom and Ron Nasty. but probably no Dirk McQuigly.

I don't remember you mentioning it. Is that at the Boom Boom Boom Club? I always preferred them to the Rolling Stones.
No. It's at the Garage, Islington.
I do like Morrissey's version of Wedding Bell Blues. I've loved that song since I first heard it by the 5th Dimension. This led me to search out the original by Laura Nyro who really was a fantastic songwriter. "And when I die," "Stoney End", "Free the country" and "Stoned soul picnic" to name a few. Sadly missed.

I've got to get myself up to the Union Chapel soon. If I manage it, it will be a new venue for me. You can't book seats. It is first served, first pew. So it is like the best end at Millwall where you can choose a seat on your arrival and move to another one if you are next to someone especially unsavoury. Not that I have had to do it as that place is genuinely now like a church; after London Calling we sing a few hymns and civilly exchange rosaries, not that I am Catholic myself; it's true : everything else is fake news. Anyhow, this is the "band" I'm hoping to see at the aforementioned building which I have now Christened Chappers. My apologies if it is a bit "white supremacist" for anyone to the left of Her Majesty the Queen:

New experiences/outlooks are the best tonic for us old gits - Yous gotta keep a sense of fun, aintch'ya, M'wall, M'wall. I kind of assume probably wrongly that people know when I am kidding and when I am not but all of the stuff I've said I've done recently I have done including visits to the New Den. Either it's sitting at home being frightened about knife crime news or illness adverts or saying sod it,. I'm going back to life's colour in all its forms in an even bigger way than before - I was always for that : I don't know why anyone is surprised anymore but increasingly they ignore it, focussing as they do on their Shearings Holidays and National Trust memberships. Fair enough. I have nothing else in me world. which is cool.
I loved the late Sun Ra:

Can't remember exactly what it was but I saw A Sun Ra display, films and music at an Art Gallery in London last year.

Shakespear's Sister singing "Stay" live on Graham Norton tonight - very good after nearly 30 years.

It was part of some other exhibition. I'll have to ask my lady friend what it was although it's obviously too late now.
