Yes, trust you to notice the 5-amp plug! A few years back, with the guidance of an electrician friend, I completely and insanely rewired a pre-war house we had bought (going seriously over the top with it - took me 6 months on and off!) as in some of the rooms the only power source were two pin sockets in the skirting board, AND over the years the wiring had been "modernised" at various stages in its life and in the loft was a white round plastic junction box with just about every type of wiring you could think of crammed in it, from deteriorating black rubber to modern grey. I seem to remember there were about 10 different cables going in and out of it with the lid, of course, barely screwed down. If that wasn't a fire hazard, I don't know what was!!
