Never The Twain

I had never seen this until recently and didnt realise it had a run of ten series. I only discovered it whilst watching Goodnight Sweetheart on Forces TV, channel 181 if you're on Sky by the way. Very good-humoured gentle sitcom with a splash of innuendo. I rarely comment on here these days as I don't see anything new that is remotely funny. The 70s, 80s and even 90s were filled with so many good sitcoms, some get more exposure than others but shows like this probably haven't aired since they originally aired, Maybe I'm wrong, I don't know. What's everyone else's take on this sitcom?

From 1960 until into the 1990s, Vince Powell wrote more popular sitcoms than most other comedy writers have ever written in their wildest dreams.

Comedy snobs may say that his work fell some way short of sophistication but millions of TV viewers thought it was absolutely bloody wonderful.

"Never the Twain" is an excellent example of his work.

Nice gentle comedy with great performance by Donald Sindon and Windsor Davies.
