The Doubter's Mysteries: Sodom and Gomorrah

'The Doubter's Mysteries' are an attempt to write a short cycle of Mystery Plays - ie. plays based on Bible stories, like the Medieval Mystery Plays of York, Chester and Wakefield - from the point of view of a sceptical modern audience; an audience which either doesn't believe in God, or can't work out what he's playing at.

There are fourteen of these plays, and the fifth is now online: 'Sodom and Gomorrah'.

I'm not sure whether your purpose in retelling these stories is simply to modernise them (with humour, if and when it occurs, being a bonus for readers) or whether they are intended, first and foremost, to be funny.

If the former, the fact that this one may be the least funny is of no consequence overall although it is nice of you to warn readers who may be expecting comedy that they might be in for a disappointment.

If the latter, the fact that this one may be the least funny is tremendously important inasmuch that, instead of publishing it with that warning, you should have rewritten it until it was not significantly less funny than the others.

The first option. I probably shouldn't be publicising them in this forum at all, as it's specifically devoted to comedy, but some of the guys here have been kind enough to show an interest.
