Why Chopin?

Chopin = a Pole.

I say, a point for you.

And now some vacuous trivia: "Did you know, I actually played poker with Chopin once. In Majorca. It was to the death, and I won. So he was buried in Pere Lachaise, as was the custom then, but his heart was actually sent back to Warsaw for burial. Imagine that! Eeuurgh! Next question, for the Pedophiles, choose a hieroglyph, please."

I watched yesterday's episode hoping to see some real cartoonists in the Cartoonists team, but was sadly disappointed.
Why does Victoria have to add a scrap of boring information about each person? "Geoff was once spat at by a camel" - all it does is make them seem even duller.
I used to share a page on the Observer with her, I had a cartoon strip under her column. I chatted to her once at a party and David Mitchell was glaring at me the whole time. Hope that snippet makes me even more boring, too.

Laughing out loud He does have such a wonderful stare - I wouldn't want to be on the end of one! I also hope you kept eye contact with her and not have her say "My eyes are up here" as you admired the plunging neckline dress she had on.

Apart from the team intros, is it just me or is the trivia getting longer and put over as though she personally experienced same or had first hand knowledge of it, when it's nerks like me who now also have to supply it on top of the heavily researched connections.

It's easy to imagine David and Victoria as friends or even as brother and sister. It's far less easy (for me, at any rate) to imagine them engaging in any activity more intimate than simply holding hands. In that area of life, it's difficult to imagine a couple who appear less compatible.

Maybe David overdid Star Wars?

There is research from Sussex University that showed a correlation between married couples looking like brother and sister. We apparently go for people with similar bone structure etc. Can't help noticing Herc and Kenneth are draw together.

So, you've guessed, eh? Pull up a chair.

He's so in awe of me and yearns to live my life, but the nearest he can get to this vicarious state is to copy my avatar.
I don't mind - he'll tire of it one day and go back to Secret Squirrel.

Jealousy is quite common these days and I suppose I should feel quite flattered..................but don't.

OK, on to another Sequences question. The Zoophiles chose Anubis. Here are your clues. What would you expect to see come fourth in this sequence?

1. not by rail
2. wrong or bond
3. caveman droid
4.

WTF?

It's a rampant plague of extreme nerdism that can't be healthy for anyone. LOCK IT AND CLOSE IT or auto direct anyone who comes on here to the football thread, the gun thread, the racist joke thread or Wobbly Bits porno site. It may save these poor souls. :(
And if they all just pile onto the Doctor Who site instead BAN them.

I expect you all to get this one:
A letter from your doctor saying 'Sorry but we can't help you anymore'
A letter from Age Concern asking if you are okay because you haven't used your free bus pass for the last five years
A knock on the door from two menacing characters out of a Harold Pinter play
A vivid and sweaty dream of Victoria Coren Mitchell as a prostrate Brunhilda screaming 'give it to me you puny little nerd' before digressing with 'You know, I once had a chat about Tottenham's poor defensive record with Wagner on top of the no.26 bus to Walthamstow'

It's a Connections question, aye? The answer is Birthday -- the Pinter clue makes it a bit too easy.

Is it about moving in the wrong direction, everything going to the dogs ? So its about Mr Kipper's love of One Direction, and the self loathing this brings. Travelling towards Walthamstow made that a bit too easy.

Kenneth, is your Q about Nottingham ?
