It did get a slagging off in the press as being a bit un-PC.
Watching the Saint on ITV4. I love these old 60s and 70s shows. You can see all the "joins" now but at the time I was totally engrossed.
These new 'Loro' movies are AWESOME. The director's an absolute genius, he's single-handedly come up with the theory that - brace yourseelf - Berlusconi was corrupt! I know, I too was shocked and sceptical at first, but over 54 hours' reconstruction he presents his case rather persuasively, and now I don't know what to think. A myth deflated.

An interesting and entertaining reminder of some of the things that make the USA the biggest looney bin on the planet
Michael Moore, another genius. America is corrupt too. Stop ruining my ideals.
No one believes me, but I reckon these 'Loro' films are the ''''''''work'''''''' of Berlusconi himself. He owns 99.9999% of the media anyway, and no publicity is bad publicity. Given the hard facts, he comes off remarkably well: a self-empowered giant able to forge a political path despite opposition and marital strife. Even his repulsive obsession with the younger woman is described as 'passion that would have destroyed a lesser man'. Is it a coincidence the films are out now, just when he's making a comeback and even been declared legitimate for Parliament again? Fishier than my undies after 'Spiceworld'.

Michael Moore is one of the most odious and hypocritical people on the planet. Luckily, he's been mostly forgotten.
Maybe
But at least he helped to show that America elects some of the most odious and hypocritical and psychotic murderers in world politics

Well I like him because whenever I see a picture of him I think of Benny Hill. Which always puts a smile on my face. See.
Just finished watching 24 Hrs In Custody. Always an interesting watch but this one was utterly fascinating. A man gets arrested on suspicion of murdering his partner and would have been charged with it if it wasn't for the negative forensic tests. Conclusion is suicide.
But by the detectives faces you could tell they thought he was guilty until the evidence came in he wasn't. In days gone by before DNA and modern methods this guy would possibly have hanged for something he didn't do, if handled by some certain murder squads of the past than very probably he would have.
The focus by one detective in particular was on his oddness and his habits and his apparent coolness that she was dead but the most blaring thing that hit me after just ten minutes was murderers don't usually leave the body fifty yards outside their front door for everyone to see.
If he had innocently touched that blood stain on the door - like just touched it to see if it was wet or anything, he would probably be doing life now.
That show is amazing
Did you see the one where some dude who visited a prostitute in a caravan was getting blackmailed and threatened with his family being told
And it turned out one of the blokes on the police team investigating it - was the blackmailer!
Shiiiiiit dude!

Seen that a few times because of repeats and what the hell was that guy thinking. Like all his colleagues said it was for just £1000 which isn't a lot to risk so much on. Ironic that he was captured on CCTV at the scene when he had a personal interest in covert operations and very bizarre how he ended up watching the drop off point of the cash he was meant to be collecting. It's like a feature length episode of the bill.
It's a gripping programme and as honest as Coppers was. I saw the last one and it was disturbing to see that quick image of the woman but it helped the viewer see what the officers saw and was only shown once. The dog walker who found her will never forget that scene. Very sad to see someone come to the end of the road in such a visceral way and their relationship was far from healthy. He behaved like her carer but wasn't or even qualified. It can be easy to forget the whole programme is only 24 hours and thankfully we have forensics and big white tents that quickly proove or disproove someones involvement in a henious crime. That oddball was very lucky.
There was another one about a woman who had gone missing and after some new information the police digged up the back garden of a house and discovered human bones so they brought in specialists to carefully expose everything and eventually it showed an intact skeleton lay on it's front. The victim had been murdered and then callously thrown in to a shallow grave.

Which brought up a lot of things in my mind when and after watching it - They were building a case against him and some were clearly convinced he had killed her even after 36 hours custody and all the interviews. The psychologist didn't do him any favours either by calling him very controlling, so they headed down this one way path until the evidence said he had nothing to do with it.
Very worrying I thought if the evidence had been inconclusive or even as Stephen said contaminated, which does happen. The bloke's oddness could have made him guilty in a jury's eyes. Personally I didn't think for one minute that he'd done it, but being strange can make you guilty of anything in some people's minds.
The Buffy The Vampire Slayer film on DVD. It's obviously never going to be as good as the TV show but how it's hard to hate any film starring both Donald Sutherland and Rutger Hauer.
And Paul Reubens!
I witnessed chip's yearly visit. I feel special.
