I still can't understand how he could get so many guns in to a hotel room. I know those Vegas hotels are busy but they also have billions of security guards and CCTV.

The guards are mostly patrolling the gaming floor, not the hotels. It would be easy to fit a few rifles inside a large suitcase or duffel bag. Make 4 or 5 trips out to your car in the parking garage and Bob's your gun-toting uncle.
Yes but the fact he got away with that to do what he did shows up a huge flaw in their security then. Surely the hotels can afford to put scanners at the entrance to prevent guns and knives coming in? Many buildings in London have them now. They may even get a govt. grant for installing them as I believe some of our venues do. It's a national security issue to protect the public. And think of the negative affect on tourism mass murder sprees have on places like Vegas.

A few unfortunate people getting shot is unlikely to stop too many folks going to Vegas, mucker!
If you think it will, you don't know human nature very well!
I bet the scene of the shooting has actually become a tourist attraction...

As I've said, security at Las Vegas hotels is primarily concerned with protecting the millions of dollars changing hands in the casinos below. The guards have probably had a little training for the what-if scenario of a couple of ISIS gunmen storming the casino on a shooting rampage, but that's essentially a matter for the police, since the guards are only armed with handguns.
Las Vegas casinos are immense: thousands of rooms, millions of square feet, a large shopping area with dozens of restaurants, and acres of gaming tables. The structure is typically a massive tower of guest rooms with a casino on the ground floor and a huge parking structure at the rear. There are literally hundreds of entrances into the buildings, so it would be prohibitively expensive to station guards and scanners at each one. As a tourist destination, Las Vegas is all about having a good time, so the establishment of airport-like security checkpoints would drive customers away. The check-in lines at the front desk on Friday afternoons and evenings are already a seemingly endless shuffle of feet and suitcases when everyone is raring to start drinking and gambling.
Police are secretly training Britain's first unit of attack dogs to hunt down terrorists in the event of a marauding attack.
Known euphemistically as 'conflict management' dogs, the animals - which cost more than £500,000 each - are trained specifically to bite terror suspects to detain them.
Scotland Yard has spent more than £1million on a pilot scheme training two Belgian malinois to be deployed as a 'less lethal force' to stop terrorists in their tracks.
Hope Son of Satan is proud if the 50 deaths he's caused. Arsehole bastard!

You're as bloody unspeakable as the other arsehole.50 grieving families and all you can do is make a smart comment. Karma to you.

Sorry, but the truth hurts sometimes. These are weekly demonstrations that Hamas leads and encourages, knowing (and hoping) that people who attempt to breach the security fence will be shot. The current protest is against the 70th anniversary of Israel's founding, with the added bonus of the dedication of the new embassy. Hamas is a violent, hateful group who are Nazi-like in their hatred of Jews. It's all clearly spelled out in their charter.
Sorry, yes, the truth does hurt and these folk (14-year-okd boy) would still be alive if it weren't for Trump's vanity. This is all a wee game to you of who's the big boy with the guns. What an inhumane turd you are. I make NO apologies for this. As I said Karma to you and hell mend you.

Correction: they would still be alive if they hadn't joined a riot and attempted to storm a security fence after repeated warnings. But, like I said, that's what their Hamas leaders wanted them to do, and they got the bloodshed they were looking for.
Where are your tears for Israeli children who are murdered in their beds and school buses by Palestinian knives and missiles? Where is your outrage when it comes to the Palestinian leadership memorializing the scum who murdered the children and paying monthly rewards to their families? Your threats of karma and Hellfire should be directed against the Palestinian leaders, not me. They've killed countless innocent Israelis of all ages, while I have killed no one.
Correction - they would still be alive if Trump hadn't decided to move the embassy to Jerusalem. Here's a controversial thought for you - in every dispute there are rights and wrongs on both sides, so - just maybe there are times when Hammas may have the right of it. Can you get your pea brain round that weird possibility - that one group might not ALWAYS be in the wrong? Oh sorry, of course your brain is moon-sized because you 're a possible Mensaaa candidate while the rest of us must bow to your superiority. Bollocks!

I'm with DaButt on this one. Sending the kiddies out to be killed in order to gain attention, sympathy and money is pure evil. Who gives a shit whether the Yank Embassy is in Tel Aviv or Jerusalem? Actually, Tel Aviv is a far more convenient location, given it is bigger, more bustling and cosmopolitan and close to the airport. The decision to move the embassy to Jerusalem was pointless and just pandering to the dickhead haredim/yank jew money. But it's not worth getting killed over, unless your dipshit leaders get off on "martyrdom".
