Maybe I should do a rap about the BSG Whistling nnocently

Anyone can do rap. Thee's no skill in it. They don't even use perfect rhymes.

The good ones are amazing!
Not that I'm any kind of expert on the matter.

Everyone's forgot my BSG rap Teary

A drive by will cheer me up :)

Maybe not Laughing out loud

*a silent tear falls*

Slim Shadey's lyrics can be brilliant, a proper 21st century poet.

I loved De La Soul as well. In fact I love almost everything from the late 80's/early 90's.

Dave, I challenge you to freestyle like the 'real' rappers do, at the same speed without any planning at all. There is a skill, regardless of whether you appreciate the music or not, it is a skill.

It may have - but they still sometimes cheat with the rhymes.

I'd rather listen to John Hegley.

Pure pop (i.e. not Eminem or De La Soul)? Without a shadow of a doubt, Abba.

Excellent musicians, briliant vocalists and writers of the best pure pop songs ever. Timeless stuff.

I suppose you don't rate the Pirates then.

Fleetwood Mac with Stevie Nicks (same era as David picked!). Oh and it occurred to me, that although I don't really go for it, rap may indeed be a skill ... but then so is being a serial killer!

I still don't think anyone has suggested anyone to compare to Blondie though.

They had the look.
They had the authentic dirty rock sound
They had pop hooks
They had number 1's (and a few number 2's)
They could play live and put on a show.

And they also have/d Debbie Harry, who looks freaking weird.

I think she was quite sexy, in a weird way. I like the sexy rock chick thing.

In a weird way?

She was stunningly beautiful, raunchy and sexy.

Wham!

(And the worrying thing is I'm not joking! The Whap Rap is amazing)
