Who hates Radio 1?

I really hate Radio 1.

The DJ's and their cronies in particular. They're all such unintelligent idiots. They really don't have a clue about anything.

I don't know how many times I've had to endure Scott Mills and his retarded team getting confused about a really simple fact. Scott Mills embarrasing attempts at prank calls also makes me cringe.

Jo Whileys soppy crap also gets me boiling! Especially when she'll read some listeners story about how they cheated on their boyfriend, but then heard a Backstreet Boys song and knew they had to confess.

I dislike their love of fads and usage of the word 'random'.

I dislike the fact that they're just the radio equivalent of TopShop.

AGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!

It's Radio 2 from now on for me!

I like radio one but after a year plus of listening, I get sick of a few of the DJs and listen merely for music. Jo Whileys soppy shit gets on my nerves too.

And I actually have a man crush on Scott Mills...

There I said it.

Meh - I actually enjoy Chris Moyles in the morning. Makes me laugh...

Aw!!

I haven't listened to radio 1 in months.

However, I do like Top Shop.

I haven't listened since the last century.

Firstly I listened to Vigin, the Jazz FM, the XFM and now I've got DAB radio there;s loads of rock stations.

But Radio 2 at times is brilliant. There's so much new stuff played there - especially the rock side - that I think Radio 1 is largely redundant.

Winterlight, do you mind if I ask, how old are you? I guess you're like me... I'm in my mid-twenties and now finding myself sliding across to Radio 2 and 6 Music.

It's deliberate... Radio 1 tries to force you away when you reach a certain age. They're doing a good job of it in my opinion... Sarah Cox, Edith Bowman, Vernon Kay, JK and Joel, Dick and Dom, Ferne and Reggie, Colin Murray, Annie Mac: I can't listen to any of them! I almost crash my car trying to dive for the off switch every time the incomprehensible Edith Bowman comes on.

That said, I do like Scott Mills & Chappers, and Pete Tong.

I used to quite like the Colin and Edith show - although I must add it's not something I would or did tune in for.

Thank you.

You're right. But aren't most of their DJs a lot older than that?
Particularly Sara Cox, and Jo Whiley.
Which is weird.

Yeah I'm 25!

I used to like Colin and Edith as well.

I quite liked Colin too actually. A bit.

I used to listen to Mark and Lard and Colin and Edith were okay, but no replacement for the boys.

Mark and Lard

Lovey

It kind of sums up Radio 1's lack of a clue when they replaced the radio genius John Peel with DJ Rob Da Bank.

I really liked it when Colin looked after The Evening Session for about 3 months. I preferred him to Zane Lowe, but they don't beat Lamacq.
