This does take me back.

Does anybody else remember it? It was wonderful.
And it never occurred to me before but it seems the Telegoons were created by the same team.

Quote: Chappers @ 2nd December 2007, 11:37 PMNow here's one. Not sure of it's actual title but something like "Tales of Rupovia."
It was a puppet thing and it was quite spooky in a way.
And The Valiant Varneys.
Pre On-the-buses where he played his ancestors.
I was talking to somebody about this the other day and when I Googled it my BCG post came up.
I think this was before Herc was on the site. Do you remember it Herc?

As a kid I always found it a bit uneasy watching.
Cool thread and a shame some of the links are broken but after so long that's to be expected. It would be nice to revive it with new links where possible.
Back when I could get my arse out of bed pre midday on a Saturday I remember the morning kids shows on BBC1 in particular Going Live! My brother once called in and spoke to politicians David Steel and David Owen who were both in the studio for some reason. I bet the audience full of kids found that very exiting I can't remember what he asked them but he posed a few questions and that was it. Around the same time of that Spitting Image did a sketch with Steel and Owen setting up their own political party and hammering out who should be listed as the leader
Owen: I've got an idea David. How about we use your first name and my second name.
Steel: That's a great idea David.
Take Hart/Hart Beat, Grange Hill, Byker Grove, Round The Twist, The Crystal Maze and 'Blue Peter at Christmas' all remind me of a time when I watched kids shows after school. I remember being hooked on Masterteam that was a quiz show hosed by Angela Rippon and deeply, deeply angered when it was replaced with this new show called Neighbours as I couldn't face life without my regular fix of Angela. That was a tough time and I went through phases of watching Neighbours and Home And Away but have been about 10 years clean for both so I'm pleased with that progress. I just take it one day at a time.
Tales of The Unexpected, Alfred Hitchcock Presents, The Twilight Zone, The Singing Detective, Tenko, Prisoner Cell Block H (Later shortened to just Prisoner which I felt was a mistake) Moonlighting, Thirtysomething, Simpsons. All shows that made me stay up late and be tired at school.

I loved Tales of Rubovia.
As I recall ,the gardener and his cat would always get the King out of some sort of bother.
Hiram Holiday was another favourite of a much younger me.
