You sound like Clarence (formerly known as Smudger).

A Hancock's Half Hour reference. "Smudger" is Hancock's old army mate in the Reunion Party. Tony describes him as hard drinking womaniser...but he obviously turned into a shy teetotaler.

:O I should hang my head in shame! Well remembered GB. I liked his drink order at the off licence. Laughing out loud

My favourite moment is Tony's desperate face when Smudger or Ginger orders a cup of tea at the "party". "A CUP OF TEA?!!!!"
Laughing out loudLaughing out loudLaughing out loud Priceless!

A Master of the facial expression. :D

Oh is it still your birthday? Many happy reruns. Like Dad's Army on BBC!.

Thanks Alf, and yes, I lose track of the days at my age. Ill

Good one last night with Mainwaring being particularly officious.

That's possibly my favourite episode, it's definitely the one I've laughed at the most and watched the most. Although it's really a big Jonesy show off ep I still catch the subtleties of humour like Hodges making a comment about the Vicar's proclivities and possibly the funniest for me was Mainwaring joining in the dancing moves before he remembered his authority. F**k me was that man Arthur Lowe a great comic actor or what. He was in the league of Sellers and Barker and Rossiter surely.

Oops have I put this in the right thread, where's me glasses? Huh?

Yes, well spotted Alf. I wondered when someone would notice that.

I know we've gone way off topic but I meant to mention, just in case you didn't realise that the café owner/waitress at the start of last night's episode was Arthur Lowe's wife Joan Cooper.
