Laughing out loud I don't know now if it's me or you who's lost the plot. I called Cheeseman Taffy because he is one whether they called him one or not. I doubt Walker did because he'd died of his corned beef allergy by then. I didn't really want to utter his miserable name tbh. Walker called Frazer Taffy as an ironic clever Cockney wide boy joke, he knew he was a Jock and I believe he called him that as well. Hope that cleared it up. :S :S

Errr................. Eh?

Wasn't Talfryn Thomas Taffy?

Talfryn Thomas was the Taffy journalist, yes.

Don't start it up again! :( You little raker.

Yes, he was a Taffy/Welsh BUT he was not called Taffy and in fact did not have a first name OR nickname. He was called, by all concerned Mr. then later Private Cheeseman.

Now my brain hurts.

I thought Cheeseman was a different character.

OK - I was getting him muddled with Sponge.

I see they're bringing out a set of stamps.

In other news, The British Comedy Society is to unveil a new blue plaque and host a celebration of the show: https://www.comedy.co.uk/tv/news/3138/dads_army_blue_plaque/

50th Birthday on Tuesday.

How will you be celebrating the greatest ever TV show?

I think I'll recreate Mainwaring, Wilson and Jones's toasted cheese supper, with kidney's and milk stout, while watching some episodes.
