Nasty and unfunny. It's going to take a lot for me to watch anything new penned by Julia Davis again. I could appreciate Nighty Night (mostly for Ruth Jones) but frankly, it was vile, unfunny, unnecessarily oversexualised and seemed mostly to propagandose Ms, Davis's "sexiness". (Of course, I'm not a guy, so I don't know how irresistible she is but we're all supposed to think she is based on the series.) Waste of Vicki Pepperdine who can quietly say one line and have me laughing instantly.

Haven't seen it but I have to agree. But I did see some of her Nighty Night and thought it too sex obsessed and narrow especially Series 2 which nosedived into it. But it was nowhere near as awful as the last series of Drifters which didn't have the dark comic edge of NN to hide under, it was just line after line of graphic sex dialogue with no comedy. I'm afraid it seems to be a default area some female writers fall into when they've run out of good material.
