Sick Com - Sam Bain's Ill Behaviour

Thanks to comedy.co.uk for the heads up.

Some very interesting ideas here, great characters, good actors. I had to get over one of the leads being reminiscent of Josh Widdecombe, who's a little too nice and ineffectual for me. But the downtrodden loser has to become the sensible one trying to stop his friend dying of cancer because he's relying on a herbal cure. Haven't got to the kidnap and forced chemotherapy bit yet.

My wife found it very contrived. Just discovered she was once falsely diagnosed of the same disease, which also wouldn't make a 'realistic' drama. I've written 'drama' instead of 'comedy'. She's not finding it funny while I like some of it a lot but I despair when the loser says, after being told to get a life, 'Where from? From a life shop?" Suppose we're in sitcom land.

Pointless nitpick.

It's good. The dynamic between the male leads is reminiscent of Mark and Jeremy and the plot rattles along. Will finish it.
