Intelligence leaks in US re Manchester are a bloody disgrace. Their intelligence people are either idiots or not to be trusted.

I wouldn't be surprised if it's another of the intelligence apparatus' attempts at harming the Trump administration.

Here we go again! Trump is god! I have to go and puke. Strange this happens when Trump has come to.power.

First of all, you need to improve your reading comprehension skills. Secondy, think back to the days before the election when Trump was skewering the intelligence community (much to their anger) and then do some critical examination of the recent deluge of leaks. You'll find that members of the intelligence community are the only possible source. Never underestimate the potential reactions if you make the CIA/NSA/FBI angry.

You, too, need to improve your reading skills. If you look back to my original post, you will see I didn't mention Trump. You were the one who introduced him.

This morning I just vicariously relived the horror of the Manchester Arena bombing.
My friend called and told me his daughter and her friend were there.

They were perfectly safe and in the theatre when the bomb went off
But he and his wife were calling her for half an hour before she answered.
They went through hell until she answered.

It made me think of all the parents children that didn't answer...

My wife and daughter are going to see Take That in Birmingham next weekend. I can't imagine them not coming back.

Utter nightmare.

My response has nothing to do with the mention of Trump, who I brought up because he's currently in a feud with American intelligence agencies and it's quite likely that the leaks might be part of the ongoing effort by members of the intelligence community and the media to attack his presidency.

My comment about your reading comprehension skills was based upon your "Trump is god!" exclamation in an attempt to paint me as a slavering Trump fan despite the many times where I've said that I don't really like the guy.

What about the similar US intelligence leaks after the 2005 bombing in London?
I don't think it's an anti-Trump thing - more of a "we're a bit crap" thing.

And it was a quiet day in Syria where at least 16 civilians were killed when US-led forces bombed al-Raqqa.

It's appalling that that the bomber was able to go freely between the UK and Libya despite him being on the security forces radar, I know they haven't the manpower to monitor every individual 24/7 but it does beg a lot of questions now in the aftermath.

I doubt the leaks were to embarrass Trump but if they were it says more about the intelligence forces and their failings as protectors than it does about Trump.

The important points are - his father was a so-called freedom fighter while your Dad worked for the local Council; his mother is a nuclear scientist while your mother was on the till at Woolies; he lived in a £750 a week house whereas at that age you lived with 23 other skint people in a house designed for just three people that was provided by your college.

And I know that the right wing commentator Peter Hitchens who I don't generally agree with isn't commenting until he knows the full facts - sensible - but it is any illegal drug use he will be looking out for as he has already proven that there is at least as much of a link between the terrorists there as there is in terms of any so-called faith or crazy religion.

Call me backward but I didn't get on a plane until 30. I didn't have the money or the nerve and anyhow it would have meant that I couldn't listen to The Clash all day and night. These types fly in and out of countries far more often than you visit your favourite neighbour. You must have one. If not, obtain one quick. We can't afford 1990s style independence.

And we should call such atrocities from now on a manifestation of "spoilt brat syndrome"with all of the madness that can entail. The Bin Ladens were in that category. Extreme capitalists. A fetish for violence when barely out of adolescence.

The news media? I am not at all happy with the wall to wall coverage. It is sick "entertainment" in the main from an industry that is now misery "porn". It is a good job that Jeremy Vine was not in my vicinity when he mentioned the youngest victim's name for the umpteenth time and then added that her mother may not know yet that the little girl had been killed. That's at least as bad in my opinion as what the American press did in releasing sensitive information.

Why doesn't His Twatness, that is Corbyn mention Bliar in his rantings as the thing that lit the fuse that gets us to where we are today.

That's right Herc. They hunted Saddam and hung him, left Gaddafi in the hands of his enemies and pandora's box was opened.

There's Manchester blood along with other atrocities in the UK on Bliar's hands and he should be put to trial as a war criminal.
