Since hearing Carrie Anne by the Hollies on the radio a few weeks ago I can't get the damn chorus out of my head. I have good days where I don't think about it but most mornings I'm humming it when I wake up and it doesn't stop all flipping day.

If you want songs that you can't get out if your head try these (**NOT SAFE FOR WORK**):

You will either love or hate these. Keep listening to the MJ one until the chorus which will stick like shit in your brain.

HAIM - Right Now (Live)

Bit of a grower.

That is amazing. I love those guys and this video shows how darn talented they are. They have a Wilson Phillips 90s upbeat kind of vibe and it also nice to see siblings working together which can't be easy. The volume goes to max when The Wire is on the car radio :D

This video was also made in one take and the way the kids freeze at the end is eerie. They must have been promised playstations or threatend with no food.

Laughing out loud

Aaarggghhh why did I listen to them. Oh Carol.....

I am rediscovering Tanita Tikaram's classic debut 'Ancient Heart'. It is total and utter f**king shit. What the f**k is she on about - 'Serious for the Wintertime to wrest my soul, whole cotton! Whole cotton ears... You'll never be more than twist in my sobriety... I want hot gristle sandwiches so move the fireside baby, I'd rather be cold' - there are f**ked up, drugged up, coke heavy prog rock bloated wankbags in Seattle whose lyrics make more sense than yours. You really are a pretentious, arrogant, self-obsessed little twot aren't you Tanita? A pretentious, totally self-absorbed, thinks-she's-TSEliot-when-she's-Dolores-Cranberry, fails-to-get-to-college-so-pretends-she-never-wanted-to-in-the-first-place twot. Irritating, totally self-centred, thinks-she's-cleverer-more-poetic-more-intellectual-than-she-is, two-arty-farty-ancient-hearty-singles-in-three-decades-and-they're-still-shit, string-a-bunch-of-meaningless-bullshit-together-in-the-hope-some-equally-pretentious-tosspile-like-me-back-then-will-fall-for-it-and-I-did total f**king utter f**king twot.

I wasn't a fan of Twist In My Sobriety as it was depressing but I liked Good Tradition and she was fit on Top Of The Pops. It still sounds good today.

The Higgs Boson Blues - Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.

She's the only person I ever saw on stage who got seriously unnerved by my eye contact.

Come to think of it, Becky Unthank was borderline, Amina Annabi was weirdly stroppy and Sa Ding Ding fell on top of me but she just tripped.

Cool - I especially liked the woman riding on a horse - it took me back to the days of my first headmistress - but it isn't Reginald Dixon is it.

Bought a bunch of LPs while I was away.

Been listening to the following this afternoon.

Talespinnin' - Weather Report
Book of Dreams - Steve Milliband - sorry Miller Band
Songwriter - Justin Haywood
I Stand Alone - Al Kooper

One I haven't listened to yet though is Benny Hill sings Ernie.

Husky Loops Perform 'Fighting Myself' LIVE

Starts like Gang Of Four, ends like The Who. What's not to like?
