The Trip to Spain

Another series of The Trip.

A question for those more knowledgeable than me; the final scene of the last episode shows Coogan out of fuel in North Africa on a deserted highway, when a vehicle comes toward him, and his face drops. If there's a joke there, then I don't understand it. Is this a reference to a film I've not seen? I know they'd been talking about ISIS but still that didn't explain it to me.

I know what you mean. I'd probably need to watch it again, but the ISIS thought did register with me as well. Bit of an odd ending.

I'm so glad this show is back, the chemistry between Coogan and Brydon is quality! Inclined to agree about the ending of that episode though, seemed like it was supposed to leave us to fill in the blank, but all it did was confuse me a little...
