No Regrets? Page 2

After checking with "We Supply Any New Thread" .com, I thought I would try Regrets; but find that Mr. Sunshine had already started this one..................mutter, mutter

C'est la vie..................

Too late now. :(

Learning a foreign language and playing the piano.

That you did or that you didn't?

Regrets?

I've had a few.

But, then again, too few to mention.

No, nothing of nothing

No! I don't feel sorry about anything

Not the good things people have done to me

Not the bad things, it's all the same to me.

No, nothing of nothing

No! I don't feel sorry about anything

It's paid for, removed, forgotten,

I'm happy about the past

Retrospectively so close....

I regret learning French at university. I wish they had offered Welsh. Learning Welsh on my own has been absurly difficult (Don't even ask why I'm learning Welsh. I know I'm weird.)

I also regret never learning maths well enough to take science classes. I should have been a scientist, but opted for a philosophy degree instead. Turns out getting a philosophy degree is not the most lucrative career move (thought about becoming a professor, but decided I'd be miserable at it). My brother took the science route and now makes bank as a roboticist for NASA. I makr barely above minimum wage! Grumble grumble.

I would say I regret being born in America but that would be ridiculously spoiled of me.

Same goes for regretting being born in the wrong decade. I shouldn't moan about being too young.

I don't have any real regrets though. I'm happy with my life. The good, the bad and the awful.

Your missed opportunities are tragic though, zooo! Baddiel and Skinner streaker and Elliot Smith?

I can relate to not wanting to go places or bother with other human beings though. Being a loner and a recluse is more my style.

I think of agoraphobia as like having a shrunken comfort zone. Most people's comfort zone is at least as big as the citu they live in, and probably much bigger than that. But with agoraphobia your comfort zone shinks smaller and smaller to the point where being anywhere but your own home is massively stressful and anxiety provoking. The fear of having panic attacks in public can definitely be a factor though, I think.

Didn't..................ahhh! Do you give lessons in Glaswegian?

Ah, that reminds of the one bit I did pick up when I was there - "See you's Jimmy"

I could have been effluent if I had stayed a bit longer.

I also regret never learning maths

Ah Davida, you are nearly English with that statement (maths)
Just learn to say curtains, taps, vase as 'varse' and pavement and we might make you an honoury British bird.

Oh dear, don't start me down that road. I had years of abuse from American servicemen friends telling me how to speak MY language during the 60s/70s and have carried the scars ever since.

Lesson 1 - it is in fact 'youse'.

I regret not taking up a place at Performing Arts college Bretton Hall and often wonder how different my life would be if I had completed the degree. I was 19 and didn't go because I was too scared to move away. Apart from that and a few ex girlfriend moments I don't regret anything and am happy with my life and feel blessed I have my friends and family. I don't earn a hugh amount in my job but money and a career has never been a big factor for me.

oh, also regret starting smoking at a young age. I gave up a long time ago though and can't believe how anyone can afford to smoke these days. A tenner for a pack of 20. WTF!

Bretton Hall?! They have a hell of an alumni. Davida, tell him off.

(Alumni? Alumnus? I don't really know how to use that word.)

I accidentally britishify my words/phrases all of the time, which ends up just being awkward and confusing when I talk to people from my own country. I've got your word-list checked-off already Herc, and then some. Can I be an honorary British bird now? Do you think that would help me get a work visa?

Of course! The Gents (minus Jeremy Dyson) went to Bretton Hall. You really should have gone Tarby! Though according to them it was a shit school. Apparently it got better after they left, and I think it was incorporated into The University of Leeds at some point, and I'm not sure it exists at all anymore. Why do I know this? I need to get a life.

Saying 'an alumni' is like saying 'an gradatuates'. 'Alumni' is plural, 'alumnus' is the singular masculine, and 'alumna' is the feminine singular. Though I despite knowing that much, I don't know how to grammatically fix your statement, zooo. Ha!

I regret accidentally setting an alarm for 4.30am today on this f**king iPhone. Aarrrgghhhh!

Good morning! I was quite surprised to see someone posting this late/early (it's 9pm yesterday my time).
