Very good, and here they are from the comic! The Tiger I think it was. Yes, and the last one I couldn't use Steve Norman as that would have been too hard (!?) and Roy Race (Roy of the Rovers) would/should have given the teams the answer. They (Only Connect) didn't use it because that cartoon was the only evidence I had and they need two solid references.

I had my own photographic retail/repair service in the 70s so these are very familiar to me, but not Only Connect it seems as they appeared to have treated it as too obscure; BUT many time I have seen questions on there and thought to myself "How the hell are you going to know that unless you specialise in it!?"
127 Roll film in between 35mm (135mm) cartridge (that 99% of people used) and 120 roll film. It made for a more compact camera, but then of course 35mm came in and it died a death.
126 The Kodak Instamatic cassette

Indeed as you say. I used to love that TV series when I was a sprog and it's a crying shame that non (apart from illegal) of them are available on DVD. I have a video I save many years ago of an interview with Gerald and he was very much into restaurants I seem to remember. Kynaston Reeves as Quelch used to fascinate me.

Now that I never knew until I heard Sheldon say it on Big Bang when he was doing one of his "Fun with Flags" vids., and the hypocritical reason they wouldn't use it on Only Connect was because it wasn't a "sport" like the other three and for the life of me I could not find anything else that would qualify. 
Yes, its fun setting questions for OC when they make the rules up as they go along.

Yes, but we/they wanted to use the flag connection and were happy for one of the sports to be used - in other words I needed to find another two "not touching the ground" that were not sport orientated in any way.
It's this "rule" they have that the four whatever should be all the same category or completely different if you see what I mean BUT I have seen them flout that when presumably one of the Senior Question setters comes up with it, and that I find f**king annoying.

Can't tell you with the missing vowels as have never done any before to have some accepted. Round 1 Connections were £30 and Round 2 Sequences £40. You're never going to get rich on it, but name is lights is nice.

That's interesting. I know a bit about photography and have a lot of cameras, including Rolleiflex 6003 which will take 120 and 220 film. I would have guessed this on the 110 clue but didn't know 127 or 126. I agree with Only Connect that it's too obscure and I think I prove that by not guessing it and having used film cameras from the 70/80s.

Wow, that is some camera, and yes on reflection I suppose it was the happiest period of my life. Young kids, no health problems and in a trade that was very interesting and had great benefits, like 2 weeks in Russia courtesy of the Russian importers and 10 days in Mexico with Nikon etc. etc. I do miss it.

Not surprised they spiked that one. Sorry Herc but that is terrible. Tarby's the only one who has it to any extent. The others have had it corrected and it's not something you in any way associate with them any more. I think a good first round question is one that you can guess from the first clue. The Terry and June one is that kind of question, the diastema one is definitely not.

Yes, we built that business up from virtually nothing. My mate who was a camera technician had some spares he had "acquired" over the years and I had the money and sales background, so I (foolishly at the time - I shudder even now when I think about it) chucked in my job with Heinz (where I had just been promoted!) and we sallied forth with a small shop on the outskirts of town.
My now business partner, who was a brilliant technician, taught me how to repair basic cameras so he could concentrate on the professional stuff and I then worked my way through more and more complicated cameras, which culminated in the complete strip down of an American Kodak stereo camera that some GI from the local base had dropped in the swimming pool and to make matters worse we didn't see it until a month later by which time it was rusting nicely internally. So, that's two of everything (apart from the shutter button!!) stripped to the finest screw, clean and rebuild. It was perfect when we gave it back to him but I sometimes wonder if it is still working.
Fortunately word soon got around and eventually we had (because of the repair side of it) contracts with anyone who had a photographic department (newspapers of course, hospital, police, all the utilities etc. etc.), we could then afford a new premises where I developed (pun) the sales side and we never looked back.

Well Godot, sorry to disagree but if you check Getty images (where they have the latest celeb. photos) you will find that they still have their gapped teeth and even Madonna's lookalike had a gap drilled/ground between her two front teeth to complete the look.
You only have my word for this of course, but they didn't "spike" that one. The last editor liked it but said he thought it would be better for a celeb/charity episode and he would keep it on the back burner. So, two of those shows went by and nothing. Recently I bought this up with the current editor and he said the same thing, but I'm not holding my breath and thought I would stick it up here.
As it happens the "Terry and June" had them as the last reveal as that is too obvious, but in a rush of blood to the head I swapped it around for posting on here - God knows why, which proved the point that it made it too easy. Let me explain a couple of their "rules". With Connections and Sequences you put the hardest first, easiest last, but with Missing Vowels it is the other way round.

OK I'm staring a bunch of Elton John photos (I blame you for this HGF) and just noticed he mostly hides his teeth and stranger still, his head has become hairier with age. But you're right there is a gap in his teeth. You live and learn.
