People Just Do Nothing: What is This Song?

Hello from the States, Seattle specifically. One of our cable channels, Viceland, has begun airing People Just Do Nothing and I am hooked. I have only watched the 1st episode of Series 1 so far and it was great.

Viceland has a trailer for the show on their website and I LOOOVVVE the song that begins 30 seconds from the start https://www.viceland.com/en_us/video/peopel-just-do-nothing-series-trailer/58587461a1c779516ac362e3?=1

Can someone please list the title of the song? It begins "BANG! People move [or 'go'] down to the shore..." Thanks! :)

Hi frakture. The clip won't play this side, and the U.K. trailer is different.

Cheers Will and thanks for checking this thread. I have just searched Google.CO.UK videos for People Just Do Nothing. There is a YouTube video that is identical to Viceland's https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pMvQEMVgr94

Appreciate your time!

I have edited the YouTube video to play the song from the beginning. It is now published on Dailymotion http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5bfcrn

I can play it now but I have absolutely no idea - not my kind of music. There us a People Just Do Nothing Soundtrack on YouTube if you want to trawl through it - good luck.

Hi frakture!

It's an original song, written by the cast as a pastiche - Lyrical Blow To The Jaw.

DJ Beats & MC Grindah - Lyrical Blow To The Jaw (Decoy Productions)

Yeah, great series!

BTW in 1978 I hitchhiked from Vancouver to Los Angeles, stopping off in Seattle to go to a punk club where The Avengers (cool punk band) were playing - I'd been hanging out with the Vancouver punk bands for a couple of months, then returned to the UK.

Well done George.

Well impressed George and by your itinerary

Too funny! Don't know how I got "People move [or 'go'] down to the shore..." from "Lyrical Blow To The Jaw", which makes far more sense. Accents are fun and, NO, I'm not one of those Americans who claim to have no accent. Quite a few customers who don't know me have asked where I am from (born & raised in Seattle) when I am assisting them. I think that I may sound a bit British Columbian-y...

Thank you George and Well Done! Geek

yw, and thanks, guys. :)

Looks like the official title is actually "Heart Monitor Riddem", iTunes link here:

On the same trip, I also went by train right across Canada, from Quebec City to Vancouver. The whole experience was like being a character in a Jim Jarmusch film.

thumbs up smiley
