Eight pound 12
But I'm putting some of that back on the Gee gees

Anyone play poker? I use pokerstars sometimes when I want to lose all my money. Some of the hands I've seen dealt on that site are beyond belief. In the last 12 months I've had a royal flush, a few straight flushes and countless 4 of a kinds and the odds of that are probably billions to one. I love poker though and have been playing since I was a nipper. Games like Omaha, 7 stud and Razz are far more exiting than hold em.

I once strayed from the card room when I noticed Pokerstars had introduced a Casino area where you can play blackjack, slots and Roulette. Playing those kinds of games at home is one slippery slope I will never go near but I found myself trying out Roulette one Saturday night with a starting stack of $30USD and at my highest point about 10 hours later I had $720. I even used snipping tool to take a snapshot of that amount and if only I had stopped there. I had, of course been drinking endless beer while I was seeing the most amazing luck I have ever had at a Casino game. I have the same numbers I choose and they were coming in time after time. Double and treble stake bets were still coming in. I kept thinking it must be because I'm a first timer on the site and it's being generous but I can just stop when I start losing. My biggest mistake was hitting the Jack Daniels. I admit now like the fool I am that as soon as I poured some JD and started celebrating my win it disappeared in a fraction of the time I had spent building it up. I can just about remember my last two spins being around $180 each as I was trying to recover from consecutive losing spins. Then zilch. I can laugh about it now but at the time I was really miffed. I could have stopped at 500 but oh no.

Moral of the story - card room = good, casino = bad.

The bookings make-up (10 per yellow card; 25 per red card - 2nd yellow card counts as just the 25 for the red) in the Derby v Sheffield Wednesday game over the last 3 seasons has been: 50, 60, 50, 75, 60, 90.

The referee, James Linnington's, bookings make-up in his 9 league games this season has been: 50,70, 70, 70, 95, 30, 80, 80, 50.

William Hill price up the bookings for tomorrow's game as +45 13/10, +55 12/5, +65 4/1.

I finally ended a one month losing streak on the footy tonight with Cahill's goal. Last night I had Neymar as both first and last goalscorer, so naturally Brazil score three, and Neymar gets the middle goal.

The bookings made up at 40. Close - but no coconut.

Oh well; better luck next time!

I won less than a goldfish last night. In a mad rush to place my bets at 7.44pm, I didn't notice that Ronaldo was 1/5 to score anytime when I placed my token bet on him, among other bets - at least he had the decency to score.

There has been a red card in each of the last 4 games between West Ham & Crystal Palace. Paddy Power go a whopping 11/2 that there's another one today (with closeness to the relegation places & the Payet situation adding extra spice today). Best price elsewhere is under 3/1.

(They also go 17/1 a 1st half red card & 80/1 a red card for both teams for those wanting to chance their arms a bit further.)

Don't really see it myself - if I was going to bet on a red card this weekend, probably Man Utd v Liverpool would be tops, with Leicester v Chelsea & Everton v Man City as also possibles. That's without checking who the refs are, which is a big factor.

Around Xmas time you could get 10/1 on Harry Kane to be top goalscorer this season. Was tempted, but not keen on bets where you have to wait several months for the outcome. Still sore that I just lost out on Jamie Vardy as Player of the Year last season - had £9 on him at 33/1.

Arbroath have scored 5 and 6 goals respectively in their last 2 games. Alloa have conceded 8 goals in their last 2 games. They play each other at Arbroath on Saturday. Skybet go 25/1 against Arbroath scoring 5+ for the third week running.

There have been 8 red cards in the last 9 Lincolnshire derbies between Grimsby & Lincoln. The referee, Carl Boyeson, has brandished an impressive 5 red cards in his 9 matches this season. Hills go 100/30 a red card in Saturday's fixture (one o'clock kick off).

Just saying...

Ha ha has anyone got your joke yet? (Billy Bunter) Not sure how long you had the name, but I believe its a pun at Billy Benter horse racing legend - If you actually read into it though RIP Alan woods taught him every thing he knows. Was an Aussie.

Well I have one tip on survivor Michelle will win. Australian survivor

I'll give you 3/1 the fly on the right on my window this morning. :)
Last to fly off. (The other one has no wings)

Need a Ronaldo goal against Switzerland to complete 2 4-fold accas. 25 mins to go.

Unlucky. It's always the final leg that lets you down.

Yeah, thanks. Ronaldo was probably the "safest" bet as well.

I picked 10 goalscorers tonight, and 6 of them scored. Had 5 lines of 4-folds. Had Andre Silva for Portugal who scored on one of my lines.

The other night (Thursday), I had Eriksen, Kane, Lewandowski, and Griffiths on my 4-fold at 16+/1, and Griffiths let me down. Of course on Sunday all four did score, but I hadn't placed a bet. Was gutted, to say the least.

Not really tried accas before, but they seem quite promising, based on my near-misses recently, especially as I much prefer low stakes/high odds.

RIP John Dunlop. Local (to me) racehorse trainer, aged 78. Trained the Derby winner in both 1978 (Shirley Heights) & 1994 (Erhaab).
