The Ladykillers
"Ladykilers" is acceptable.
It is, after all, one 'l' of a film.
Thrummpp Tisshhhh, I thangyow..........
My favourite British Comedy is Guest House Paridiso but for no other reason than it's a Bottom Movie and I'm a mark.
Other favourites would be:
The Monty Python Movies
Dad's Army The Movie (The Real One)
Porridge The Movie
Shaun Of The Dead
Hot Fuzz
Johnny English (First One)
BEAN The Ultimate Disaster Movie
For Our American Brethren:
The Rocky Horror Picture Show
The Vacation Movies
The Hangover (First One)
Does Back To The Future count? If so the first two of those.

Yes it counts. It's a comedy.
I love Local Hero. Alan Partridge Alpha Papa. Shaun of the Dead. The Commitments.
Oh yes, Alpha Papa was very good. Probably one of the last movies I have actually seen.
Not enough time in the world for me to keep up so I had to shun movies altogether.
Comedy films is a hard category. Movies need to be an experience to be worth watching more than once.
The Life of Brian was voted the best comedy film of all time, and is indeed worthy of such a title because of its shoe horning in of Monty Python comedy into a well known story.
But there have been some good recent films, for example:
Tropic Thunder
The other guys
Team America
Mystery men
Galaxy Quest
Fear of a black planet
Macgruber
Even Dumber & Dumber, and Elf are worthy of accolade..
Not a comedy film as such. But for a good laugh I would recommend Guns at Batasi.Richard Attenborough's portrayal of a RSM is priceless.
I still love Crooks in Cloisters, Ronald Frazer, Barbara Williams, Bernard Cribbins, the perfect rainy Sunday comedy

I was never really into the British Comedy movies, Norman Wisdom is a good comedian and the Carry On movie series were entertaining. But were not classics, as such.
I never really enjoyed Charlie Chaplin either, I prefered the Afro-American Harold Lloyd with his zanny romantic comedy style, such a hapless hero: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QEcTjhUN_7U
Top 3 would be: (in no order)
-Zoolander
-Anchorman
-Wayne's World 2
'Overboard' is a really funny film that also has the feel-good factor.
I'm a sucker for goofball comedy.
Kingpin
Happy Gilmore
Dumb & Dumber
Me, Myself & Irene
There's Something About Mary
Meet The Parents

Kingpin is glorious. I need to see it again. I think Radio Times gave it Two Stars when it was on recently which is a travesty.

It's a tough one to call but I think it has to be my favourite comedy of all time. Years after seeing it I can still be reduced to a dribbling wreak when I watch it again. Within the opening scenes.
