I wondered if anyone knows the title of a popular series about a widowed or divorced father who gets a new girlfriend but his daughter disapproves

There have been a few in that vein but you're probably thinking of May To December.

Not if the daughter is trying to effect a reunion between her parents. The mother was long deceased in Me and My Girl.

I'm sure this isn't one of those cases, but I wonder if this board is ever prone to "prank threads", started by mischief-makers asking deliberately vague questions about non-existent shows/episodes.

Such as: What was the sitcom, I think it was late 80s or early 90s, where the posh daughter had a punk boyfriend and dyed her hair pink one episode?
Or: The jokes were a bit like Are You Being Served? except it was set in a laundromat. Can anyone else remember what it was called?
