No good looking shocked and stunned as more and more people air their opinion that it is not as good.

Well I hope Aaron and Mark read this keewik as I understand that it was the main reason it was changed to cater for "upwardly mobile users"..............so much for progress.
I detest and loathe this new fangled site
Cos I'm gettin old and I hate change
Give it a week or so and I will like it and think the change is bloody wonderful
But until that time I hate this site and whoever is responsible for this is on my list of enemies

I don't know how you can tell what people are online.

That's gone. I used to look at it, but as the days turned into years, I came to accept that I would no longer see Tim Walker, Griff, Godot, Dolly, Cotter, Gagsy and Renegade gracing these pages.
I heard that Tim 'Speculum' Walker opened a soul food restaurant over on Maxwell Street with his old lady, and he took James Cotter with him. While Mr Godot is the top maitre d' at Chez Paul, pulling down six bills a week. Maybe we'll never get Tim and Mr Godot outta them high-paying gigs. Anyway, look at you guys in those candy ass monkey suits. And I though I had it bad in Cook'd and Bomb'd.

Are you still here?
At least Chappers has, so far, stuck to his words and cleared off!
I love Chappers though and will welcome him back with open arms. As I would you, Herc. I'm just that kind of guy.
I can't find my old posts either and I depended on that to remind me of what I posted. well one needs reminders at 75
Christ! It's getting worse and worse on the phone.

Fewer posts today would, I reckon, indicate people's dislike of the new format.
Have to say - sorry but I'm not sure I'm going to stick with this, especially as so many regulars seem to be voting with their feet.
Think not seeing who's online takes away that feeling of it being a little hub and so I am left thinking it all seems a bit detached and disjointed, surely a bit of room could be spared to reinstate the online status feature ?
Still not liking the ads taking so much space on right as there is plenty to look and and read in other parts of the site, keep the forum, the forum. The end of my moan, so there.

I don't think I ever bothered to look who was or wasn't online. Posting here has always been like throwing a few rose petals in the air. Hardly anyone bothers to watch them flutter down, but I threw them for my pleasure.
As for the ads, well ad-block means on my PC I just have the "other stuff" tiles on the right. As long as they're not salacious sleazy porny pics like those on the tabloids' online right-hand column, no worries. And they don't appear on my phone -- except in a stack at the bottom of a fully down-scrolled screen, so no bother. No worries.

Agree wholeheartedly with the who's online feature - seems to be a big loss for a small saving.
Shandonbelle - how do you view the site - on a pc screen?
If so, BillWill's observation that if you narrow the browser window it makes things easier to read - and with the added bonus of shoving all the pics/ads to the bottom where they can be ignored if so desired.
