No it's nothing like epilepsy, besides the more you push for what it is the less chance there is of me telling you so I'd just give up now if I were you.

Is it leprosy?

There, now I've said that I'll not be posting about it anymore.

Result!

JSA isn't the scariest thing in the world.

It goes through cycles, yup you have to apply for jobs but you can do it online with a preloaded CV and be finished in a couple of hours a week.

After a few months they might put you on a short course but it'll be over soon enough.

It's stupid and pointless, petty and a waste of tax payers money but you'll be fine. Just don't be late to anything and act interested.

I gotta be honest they know who they're going after in terms of sanctioning and I doubt it's you. The very fact you can read and write puts you ahead of most of their usual targets.

I've claimed JSA a few times over the years and about 10 years ago it was a sweet deal. I always wanted to work but the pressure of getting a job was never there and the fortnighly signing on was a 5 minute visit. I never had much money but I had all the free time to spend at the snooker club, casino, bookies etc and I could do my favourite hobby as much as I liked - sleeping.

It's changed a lot over the last few years and is now a lot more strict. The slightest error and you get sanctioned and lose money. In a way it's shite but it also stops those abusing the system. Take the emergency crisis loans that you could get when on benefits if you were in a 'disaster' situation. I had a few of those and everytime I went to collect the payment I would have to sit in a room full of people waiting to collect the payment and talking about activities like drug dealing, theft and how they didn't really need the money from the emergency fund but why not if they can get it. There would be a few genuine cases in there but the system was being abused so much all over the country it was stopped. Now all people have in a disaster is to go to the police.

My advice on JSA is to play the game and you will be ok. It's paramount to have an adviser you like and is fair to you so if you're not getting on tell them. Websites like CVlibrary.com are perfect because once you have joined you can apply for jobs in a click of a button and will even get people ringing you. When I was claiming JSA one of my tasks was to apply for at least 3 jobs a week but with cvlibrary I could apply for 10 jobs in 5 minutes.

I wish it were that easy here in the States. Not that I'm getting any sort of benefits, but even with an online CV, it seems like every damn company wants me to completely re-enter the information. It should be a matter of uploading a CV and cover letter, but it turns into a 30-minute ordeal because they want to create a massive database, and if your CV doesn't contain the right keywords it won't even be seen by human eyes.

Y'know what? Going on your other posts I had the idea that you might be an absolute c**t but wasn't quite sure but now I know you are.
You're an invasive wanker who thinks it's alright to bully and push others who are unfortunate enough to cross paths with you and it wouldn't surprise me if you were related to that absolute cow I've had to deal with.
As I stated I thought I might have been imagining things about how she was but I've just had a call from the Manager of the local branch of the DWP to apologise about her behaviour because she's been like it with quite a few people and it's only just come to his attention and he wish it had been brought to light sooner as she's now been given the sack.
For those who are nosey enough to want to know my sickness is severe bi-polar disorder and numerous nervous breakdowns and it's this sort of thing that sets off my panic attacks etc so well done you, hope you're happy.
Probably best if I no longer come on here which is a shame because I've enjoyed talking to Zooo, Chappers, Keewik and Herc etc
I won't name names but I've had a really supportive message from someone on here who's given me more help than they realise.

As this thread is about things that piss you off I'll leave with one final thing.

Could be. What's her name?

I can advise you that a good cure for depression is to throw yourself into some form of work, something you are passionate about. And think about helping others, rather than simply griping and relying on handouts.

Eat well, exercise well, healthy body and happy mind and all that. Good luck.

That is bloody glib! Don't you realise the difference between depression and bipolar disorder? also sounds as if you know bugger all about depression when all you can do is take the 'pull-yourself-together' approach. There is no way you can put yourself in the right here, so have the grace to apologise to the man.

I've never studied bipolar disorder. I thought it was manic depression, no? That which ailed Spike Milligan? I did read Spike Milligan's book (actually mostly written by his long-suffering shrink Anthony Clare, at a time when Spike was not being very helpful) Depression and How to Survive It back when it came out in 1994. Can't remember much of it. Not a barrel of laughs. It was a bit like those John Cleese and Robin Skynner How to Survive books, only drier.

You're not doing yourself any favours, DaButt. It's called a resume in the States. And do US citizens even call it the States?

I went with CV partly in deference to you British folks, but mainly because I didn't want to fumble around trying to figure out how to type the accented "e."

Yeah, it's fairly common to say "the States."

No worries mate. You reckon Viz is still great (though you're not too fond of the Drunken Bakers and the other bleak stuff), whereas I reckon it has become hackneyed and over-commercialized, with only glimmers of its past glories.

Quote: TheBlueNun @ 21st July 2016, 8:12 PM BST

I'll tell you something I do know: The thylacine is extinct in Tasmania. No asperger syndrome superiority, autism authenticity, ADHD antagonism or bipolar bigotry benefits will change that. Poor old thylacine.

EDIT: Here he is:

I am not sure which pisses me off most now -

Having to be tolerant of the intolerant

Having to tolerate the tolerant defending the intolerant

You are no longer Frankie Rage, watering down your comments, you're now Frankie slightly miffed, maybe.

mmm... you're right, we should be challenging the tolerant berating the (generally) tolerant for berating the intolerant.

I think Richard Branson probably had the right idea with his chutney empire. Sell it off and buy a f**king island.
