I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue Page 2

Just listened to first episode of the new series. Still as funny as ever.

Tony Hawks was very funny.

He was on one of the shows I went to see a few years back - very good. On the other recording (done the same night of course) his place was taken by Jeremy Hardy, who I had never been a great fan of, but he was brilliant and I changed my opinion.

There was a couple came in about 5 minutes after the recording had started, and Jeremy got up and went to the front of the stage and asked them where they came from, which they told him.

Jeremy "Well how far is that from here?"

Answer "About 8 miles"

Jeremy "Is that all!! Well I've come up from London and I've managed to get here on time, so why the f**k can't you!?"

much laughter ensues

That had me laughing outloud when I listened to the show while walking my dog.

I downloaded Ep5 earlier. It's such a great show and my personal favourite One Song To The Tune Of Another.

I can't decide if the familiarity and repetition is a good thing or a bad thing. I enjoy all the continuity such as Samantha, Donald and Dougal, No that is my word... but at the same time I could just listen to an episode from 20 years ago.

Regardless I still listen every week.

If you enjoyed the Marrow song sung to the tune of 'Holding Out For A Hero' I insist you listen to Episode 3 of the current series on BBC radio iPlayer where Tony Hawkes sings Relax to the tune of the Carpenter's 'There's A Kind Of Hush'. It on about 10:45 minutes in.

Anyone know if Graham Gardner is okay? Seems weird him not being there.

Tim wasn't on either this week. Semi-retirement perhaps?

I was thinking that too ...

It's probably the travel, although Baz still seems to be able to manage it.

I'm probably going to jinx it now by saying this but I'm pretty sure Barry Cryer is indestructible.

Please say that it's so. If he does expire, who on earth are they going to call upon to provide soundbites to mark the passing of various comedians?

Aaron?

Thank you - I like the sound of the Islington one as I wouldn't have to stay in a B&B overnight.

I don't drive either, neither does Richard Osman or David Mitchell.
