If you start actually watching birds, you'll be surprised at how many different birds there are in your area.
I posted this in the general thread recently because I didn't know what it was. Apparently it's an Egret. It was in my neighbour's garden.

We had blue tits in one of our nesting boxes this year and had the pleasure of seeing the babies emerge from the box. I think there's a word for that but I can't think of it atm - fledge? I don't like that word, sounds like a cross between phlegm and fudge.
