I think I first came across him on one of those Uncut tribute cds to the Clash/Dylan, doing a cover. Anyway, it was on one of those "freebie" cds.

Yeah he does do a lot of covers so I wouldn't be surprised. I think the best cover he did was Russian Roullette by Lords Of The New Church.
Can't recommend him enough though.

Russian Roullette by Lords Of The New Church.

I have their album Killer Lords, Russian Roulette is on it.

And I've seen Jesse Malin live in concert in 2002 or 2003 (he was Ryan Adams support act)...I've mentioned this before I think.

Wristband by Paul Simon on the radio. I'm going to have to buy the album.

Saw a very enthusiastic review.

You certainly did dear boy.

I have three of the New Church CDs but I can't remember ever actually listening to them nor buying so God knows where they came from.

I've noticed just recently that there are a number of CDs I own that I have no recollection of ever buying let alone listening to like the best of Billy Ocean. Now there's nothing wrong with Billy Ocean and I do quite like his stuff but being of the alternative/punk persuasion it's not the sort of thing I'd actively buy.
Considering my collection reaches, and I apologise if this sounds like bragging, well into the thousands it's entirely possible that there's at least a good few hundred shiny spinners in there that have never been played.

Anyway today I are mostly been listening to ............the new Tegan and Sara record Love You To Death. They've finally lost all the guitars and gone full on synthpop.

It's well worth it. Dunno what's going on but with this and 'Blackstar' I seem to have managed to buy two #1 albums in a single year for the first time since 1995!

Richard Ashcroft - Hold On - Isle of Wight 2016

Portugal. The Man - So American

Having a Be-Bop Deluxe blitz this afternoon of their first five albums from a box set I bought last week.
