Daisy

I make no apologies for starting this thread, but I have just buried my Jack Russell Daisy who died in the early hours of this morning at the age of 13.

She had been ill for some time with a cancer that started on her lung and despite long and expensive treatment she never fully recovered but hung on and then plunged into rapid decline in the last week.

I am devastated and so feel little humour at the present time, and will not be posting for a while - I do make my apologies though to the people who have been following my Punch Cartoon thread.

HGT

Sad to hear that. I hope you'll soon recover from this loss. I know what a dog/cat can mean to someone.

RIP Daisy

P.S.: I can understand your decision to not post for a while. But feel free to pop in if you feel like to, nobody expects you to be funny in such a time and I'm sure we (especially me) won't treat you in our usual joking/sarcastic way.

Sorry Herc, that's awful. :(

RIP, Daisy.

Sorry to hear that Herc, that's very sad news, our pets are members of the family.
Sounds like it was her time despite all your best efforts which you should be proud of yourself for.
Don't be gone too long.

RIP little Daisy.

Sorry to hear that.

Will you be reading these messages though? If not, hope you feel better now.

Sorry, made of a boghole of that.

Very sad news, Herc. Hope your spirits lift again soon. Take care, buddy.

:(

So sorry pal

I've always liked Jack Russells ...

Fiesty!

I know I said I wouldn't be on here for a while, but had to have a peek and find all your kind words and thoughts, so thank you, thank you one and all. They have all been a comfort.

I had the distraction of a not too often visit from my daughter with her partner and our first and only grandchild who is now a year old, and along with that he dug the grave for Daisy as I could not have done it with the COPD that I suffer from........................so in the end all in all it worked out well, if I can say such a thing as it saved me the horrendous trauma of having to take Daisy to the vet to be put down - I'm not sure if I could have even done that.

But now without that distraction, it has hit me hard today as Daisy wasn't there to greet me when I came down for breakfast. So sad right now.................

sorry to hear this. I think you're right about how it worked out. I always wonder about the thing of having pets put down.

:( poor you. I had a cat ran over a few months ago and even a hard hearted bastard like me (and I am one) was quite upset about it.

Sorry to hear about both of your losses.

Though in your case Our Will I fear it is the first time a victim of my snarky skits, has also been a victim of the reaper.

I haven't seen my faithful whippet for a while :P

So sorry, Hercules. The death of a pet is a great loss, they're true friends. Hope you get back to the Punch cartoons soon, I look forward to them!

Thank you keewik, Will C, sootyj and beaky - yes, she was a member of the family..........................but now although it still hurts, life must move on, and as my fans are missing the Punch cartoons :D , I resume.
