John Oates wrote on Facebook that he's going to announce "something very exciting" soon. I hope he's not the next to kick the bucket.

Could he be making a record with Daryl? What did he actually do on their records?
Barrie Masters of Eddie and the Hot Rods has suspected pneumonia. Consequently they've cancelled some gigs including Friday's in Redhill that I was looking forward to.
"Lovers" will probably be more jazz than pop/rock, but guitarist Nels Cline (Wilco) has been known to rock and has a new album of standards and original pieces coming out soon. A song is available to stream here:
Very looking forward to the new Nick Cave & TBS album.

I was always under the impression that it's been illegal ever since I went to gigs in the early 70s but you always get them outside venues hardly being secretive.
Janis Joplin's childhood home is up for sale. It includes a slab of concrete where she wrote her name.
It's not much of a house, so they must be hoping that a fan will pay top dollar for it.

Didn't realise Paicey was such a big Meat Loaf fan!
Gosh I hope they all recover! Rick Parfitt seems to be having a time of it doesn't he? I saw Quo last year and have tickets for this, there is a strong argument to be made for them being one of the best live bands, a lot of it down to Rick, nothing like opening a show blasting out the 'Caroline' riff.
Oh, and in other news, I may be the coolest person on these forums, as I just booked tickets to see Slade in December...
