Official Monty Python art show

Hello there! I'm not really sure where to put this so please feel free to move it (or delete it altogether if this kind of thing isn't allowed round here!)

We recently curated a Monty Python themed art exhibition here in the lovely city of Leeds. The show was officially licensed and all the pieces we exhibited were approved by the Pythons themselves. A fantastic group of international artists were given the freedom to interpret their favourite Python moments in their own styles and the results were wonderful.

If you are in or near Leeds then all the work can be seen on the walls of the Northern Monk Brewery - http://www.northernmonkbrewco.com/ - until 8th July (they also make fantastic beer and it's well worth a visit for that alone!) or click on www.colourplusnoun.com where all the work can be seen from the comfort of your own screen (and purchased if you so desire!)

We're hoping to make this an annual show as we've barely scratched the surface of Python and so much of their best loved work hasn't been covered. Hope you enjoy looking at the art and please let me know if you have any questions.

Are you planning on touring it?

Are you planning on touring it?

This particular incarnation of the exhibition won't be touring, however we are in discussions with the Python people about how future shows might look and where they might be held. We would love for as many people as possible to see the lovely artwork in person, but we are a for-profit company (well, in theory at least haha!) so it has to be financially viable for us to do. It's not really the type of show that we could charge people an entry fee to see and as the work is all strictly limited edition (and original pieces) it's very possible that we could arrive in a city with no product to actually sell. We're trying to find a way though.

Quick question - is it possible to post images in posts? I could post a few of the pieces from the show to give people a flavour of the type of work that's included.

I thought you meant just to exhibit - not to sell.

And yes you can post pictures but don't ask me how. I've never managed to get my head around it.

Well that's 50% helpful - at least I know it's possible!
