When I first heard this on Classic FM a few years ago I was driving late at night and it was one of those OMG moments. This recording is the best out there.

You can't get much more excellent than that one.
That was the year I first saw the Pogues live.

Lucky boy!
You can tell they're all buzzin', playing together.
Another classic with some great archive footage I hadn't seen before.

Thanks for that, great stuff. Good old Ig doesn't give a hoot about playback.

Gotta love ol' Iggy. He's about 10 years younger than my father, but they both grew up in the same town and I wonder if their paths ever crossed back in the 50s.

Comes up with some appropriate hand gestures though.
It's like watching a playful chimp. Funny when the girls at the back run for cover at the start.

They probably did. Intriguing.
I remember reading that as a schoolkid, Iggy (James) wasn't the wild child rebel you'd expect him to be, but was voted by his class mates as the student most likely to succeed.

Yes, definitely, but it looks like he had other options, if he'd wanted them.

Dave Swarbrick dead at 75.
Not bad for someone who had his obituary in The Telegraph in 1999. On being told that they had mistakenly reported that he had died after being hospitalised in Coventry, Swarb replied that it was not the first time he had died in Coventry.
Bugger. Saw him supporting Family last December.
