Off to see one of my all time fav bands...ELO...in Brum, yippee!

Yes, I know this might be better placed in one of the music related threads but the excitement has left me particularly reckless and gung ho on this occasion.

I went to a tribute band that plays ELO and the hits of the Police

Elo Elo

The week has started well when I couldn't get my 3-month-old car to start. When the AA man arrived, he diagnosed the problem before even setting foot in the car. I had to move it from garage into the drive yesterday to let somebody through the garage. Then moved it back in. Apparently this caused the engine to flood. If you face this problem, what you have to do is depress both clutch and accelerator at the same time as you start up. Maybe you all know that. Teary

You also won an award for your play writing!

Have to get up six hours to finish tidying up before inspection. Works going to be stressful. I'd quite like to just skip tomorrow.

Has been a year since I had holidays. Other people had holidays when I was thinking of taking leave, and I never got round to thinking about when to take it instead. Now have it my head that it would be nice to spend Christmas somewhere cold. Not sure If I can survive another eight months without taking more than a week off.

Also not told my family yet- it's kind of just expected that I see them at Christmas.

Ben has finally recovered from his Scotch induced headache and is contemplating breakfast.

Chip's just been stocking up on nuts.
Brazils. Pecans. Cashews. Almonds.

I'm devastated at the moment. Tomorrow is my first marathon but my legmuscles hurt and I've got little cramps in my calves. I can't see how I could possibly run 42 meters in this state...let alone 42 kilometers. 6 months of training and now this.

:(

Are you running the London marathon?

My friends are St John Ambulancing there.

The folks visited me today so went for a stroll around Gloucester cathedral, checked out a few charity shops and then had a 16oz steak. Looks like I'll be postponing my daily run today because I can't move. I feel like a lion that's just polished off an overweight wildebeest.

Are you running the London marathon?

No, no. It's in the countryside of Basel. But I'd love to do the London Marathon someday.

Hope you're feeling better tomorrow, mate, and good luck with it all if you are.

Drinking a beer in the neighbor's pool after mowing the lawn. Sweaty work.

Best of luck, but I am sure there will be people to help you over the finishing line.............
