The Telegraph pulls apart the government leaflet on Staying in the EU.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2016/04/07/david-camerons-pro-eu-leaflet-what-it-says-and-is-it-fact-or-fic/

David Cameron's pro-EU leaflet: what it says and is it fact or fiction?

Rule of thumb: if it came from a politician's mouth or office, it's almost certainly fiction.

Which reminds me of the old adage - "How do you know when a politician is lying?"................When their mouth is moving.

and to add to that, politicians should be replaced as often as one would change a nappy-and usually for the same reason........

urple">Music streaming sites are helping to drive sales of vinyl, new research suggests.

But 48% of people who bought vinyl last month admit they have yet to play it.

Seven per cent of those surveyed say they do not even own a turntable.

I'm in that boat. I need a new turntable, but I'm in no hurry. I buy various vinyl releases, mainly because they're people/bands that I know and would like to support. I can't say that I miss the hassle of loading records and hearing snaps, crackles and pops, but I'll never stop loving the feeling of holding a new release in my hands and examining it and the cover and smelling the fresh vinyl. Digital music sounds great and it's incredibly convenient, but it offers no tactile satisfaction for old guys like myself.

If you're on a boat, would that be the deck?

my daughter ordered the new Bowie for me on vinyl and she told me I had a free download too. Buggered if I can work out how to do it though. It may be because she ordered it and only she has it.

I also bought the new Pet Shop Boys album on white vinyl but it keeps jumping. Dunno if it's the white vinyl because they used to have problems.

Vinyl is f**kin crap

Even cassettes were better imo

I'm not good at looking after things like records and CDs so they eventually get scratched until they are useless and get thrown away. I never had this problem with tapes and cassettes because provided they were kept dry they always played back. If they snapped or got twisted it was easy to open them up and do some surgery. A bit fiddly but not hard.

I would love to be able to DJ with two turntables though. I can do it with MP3 but I've never had my own decks. It's easier to mix with digital and CD but not much for people to watch you doing apart from pressing buttons and turning dials. My favourite DJs use both and will have two turntables and two CDJs on the go.

If the poor lamb is unhappy being held in solitary confinement he should be allowed complete and free association with the other prisoners. Preferably with the guards looking the other way.

There's been a death at Prince's studio/compound. He was recently hospitalized, but there has been no identification of the deceased. Hope we haven't lost another superstar...

Twitter is saying that it's Prince. :(

This is just getting ridiculous now. :(

What's going on at the moment?
I'm very sad because he's one of my all time faves. I started loving his music when I was about ten and someone gave me Purple Rain as a Birthday present. Still one of the best records I ever heard.

I borrowed some of his CDs from a mates sister when I was about the same age and would listen to Morning Papers over and over. He was a very unique artist.

Prince's death will completely overshadow hers:
