Very good and thought it was a nice touch when Stephen Mangan dedicated a typical Ronnie Corbett joke to the man himself.

Yes, I liked the dedication too, and I thought it was a fab start to the series. 
I don't think the scriptwriters gave Steven Mangan very much to work with.

Hopefully the series will improve when they have better more characterful hosts

Oh happy days - your name belies your outlook. 
I didn't really enjoy Tracey Ullman as host - she didn't seem a natural presenter - but the 'banter' between the guests seemed a bit more lively than usual.
Very much enjoyed the Reverend Richard Coles as he is my local vicar where I live and is as funny off screen as he is on.

Yep, I've had a few conversations with him about his popstar days.
Coles is always fun whatever he's on, he has the air of a cheeky vicar from a Carry On type. I'm very anti-religion but I would make time for him.
I've never liked Tracey Ullman so I may be biased but there was something missing from her hosting but nowhere near as bad as when Robert Lindsay presented it, that was just awful to watch.
Watching Have I Got News For You talk about why the media didn't cover the Tory MP being involved with a dominatrix prossie, I couldn't help but think the reason they didn't cover it is because it would only be newsworthy if there was a Tory MP who WASN'T involved with a tom.
Ross Noble was good tonight. Loved how they made fun of Ian's Oxford days.
