Come back Gordon.

We miss you. :)

Come back The Blue Nun.

We miss you. :)

Thank you all, with special reference to Doug, Nick, Gordon and Horseradish! I guess that I'm still getting used to redundancy and haven't really been watching as much comedy as I used to.

I missed you too. Teary

Didn't realise you'd been made redundant. Sorry to hear that.

How lovely to hear from you, The Blue Nun. Please post more. I know from experience that redundancy takes some getting used to but we need your great words and some nice eighties tunes to listen to like this one:

SlagA needs to make a return, not just to these boards but to my life. I miss you, man! Teary

Stephen Goodlad hasn't posted since the end of Feb. - I have sent him a PM but had no reply. Oh dear. :(

First there was nun, now we have Blue Nun. Good to see you back.

No idea what either Slag Brother is up to these days.

Presumably most of the old stalwarts no longer here have actually made a success of their comedy careers. That's why I'm still here.

Thank you all ;)

Yes, redundancy's odd. I am planning, however, to return as a temp in the autumn.

On here?

Yeah, I think so. My hours would be 10 until 4 though with at least an hour for a full hot lunch.

I don't think any of the old regulars have made a success of their writing so far. Many are still beavering away and climbed a few rungs, but no one's hit it big yet.

I always thought Seefacts was going to go on to do something noteworthy, but I don't think he's had stuff on TV since school of comedy. He's still writing as far as I'm aware though. And he's still young(ish).

As for the Slagg Brothers I don't think they've gone on to fame either. I remember they had written a film which Luke Perry was supposed to be in, but that was years ago (http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1629767/), so doesn't look as though it happened.

I think a few people who have posted on here have had sitcoms made, but their posts were relatively few. The guy who wrote Lunch Monkeys (or whatever it was called) used to post on here.

I see Bussell popping up here and there. He's got something that lad.

I think even Bussell has struggled to make the leap to success. He's still doing the day job anyway.

I guess all the successful up and comers from 7-8 years ago weren't spending their time bumming around on here...
