Little update, Jona's page did get back to me a little while back and say that there's a chance that the episode is in his archive, but that was about a month ago and now it's all gone quiet, so I'm thinking that Lewie himself doesn't want to engage a 'fan' - but I'm hoping I'm wrong.
I just gotta find it this year!
It used to star Jeff Astle (of WBA fame) in a walk on role, almost certainly because Frank Skinner is a life long Baggie. As a fellow sufferer, I recall with fondness standing with 20,000 other fans and shouting "Skinneeeer, Skinneeeer" at him when he took his seat in the Halfords stand. I can definitely recommend his last stand up DVD: it is a little near the knuckle - as my grandma would have said.
Astle was a true good sport on FFL, helped the show massively to attain its cult appeal
I think I can officially say the Jona Lewie lead has died, I'm not going to pursue it anymore.
