Oohhhhhh, wow, ok, shock here people: I have heard that song! And performed by her!

So in answer... She's alright. I know what zooo means about the screechy voice, but it's kind of endearing in a way, and seems to work with that particular track. Looks wise, which I suspect is more what you were talking about, she's ok. Not really my kind of thing though. If I have a kind of thing. Which I wouldn't really have said that I do. Anyway.

I must admit, I saw a picture of her online a while ago, about three or four years old (the picture, not her), and not only did she actually look human, but almost attractive. I was shocked to say the least. The current whole beehive, big black streaks across face thing just looks ridiculous, and less than endearing.

Having not read all the thread. Yes, I like Duffy. I think she's great. Heard her a few months back on 6 music.

Winehouse has her days. I think she's got a bit of sex appeal. The media keeps saying she looks like a dude though. I don't see it, I think she's pretty although I bet in real life she would be very unattractive reaking of booze and all. Ever have a good looking girl breath drunk stench on you? Major turn off.

Neither of them can hold a candle to Wendy James and/or Martika.

Didn't Wendy James famously say "I'll win an Oscar one day. It's not a question of "if" but "when".

Probably try to reignite their careers.

And yes, Ms James did say that. She even put a time limit on it. I'm sure she even made a bet with someone (possibly Gary Bushell?) that her prophecy would come true.

I'm sure that was Roland Rivron's influence on her at the time. A bit of pillow talk, Rivron telling her that was a possibility and then, before you know it, she's spouting off in front of a large group of doubled-up journos. Oh dear...

Just to clarify my thoughts on the great 'Duffy' debate - her first song is quite good and she looks quite nice. Who wants to join me in 'non-committal and afraid to offend club'!
