Balding? I think he's gone past that stage. :D

What do you think about Phil Collins' comeback?

I never really cared for his music, but as a resident of San Antonio I'm surprised and grateful that he's essentially the world's foremost expert on the Alamo and its artifacts. He visits yearly and has donated a lot of items to the museum, so hats off to ol' Phil.

In case anyone doesn't realise, there's more to Phil Collins than dreadful pop and a gorilla suit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vo7mYqaMKXA

I have the album.

I'm thinking about buying some of the newly issued Collins deluxe editions...at least the ones from the early albums Face Value, Hello an No Jacket. But although I like the idea of recreating the album covers with the "geriatric Collins", I think they shouldn't have used these pics as front covers, they should have put them inside the booklet instead. Actually, that's putting me off a bit because as a collector and self proclaimed music archivist I prefer the original covers.

By the way, this discussion (if it is one) should be continued in the (Non Cliquey) Music thread.

He is a massive Tony Hancock fan and did a lot for the Appreciation Society, AND was the main instigator in getting the BBC to release a lot of material, such as the TV series on to video, so he can do no wrong in my eyes.

Good bloke!! :D

Well if it's successful, it'll be against all odds.

It didn't look like that when he was on telly a couple of hours ago - there was something in the hair tonight.
