Touché but in all fairness I don't make up the stereotypes.

I'm both. But English first and foremost.

Yes I used Mike Myers.
By the way this isn't meant as a jab or anything just purely ignorance but what's the difference between being British and being English?

Quite a lot
As in being part of the England and being part of the larger UK?
England is a country. Wales is a country. Scotland is a country. Together, they make Great Britain. Add Northern Ireland into the mix (with much care, obviously) and you've got the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, usually referred to as just the 'UK'.
To confuse matters further, Ireland is part of the British Isles. Geographically speaking anyway!
I guess ours isn't much easier to understand having provinces and territories...umm...plus Quebec which thinks it's its own country.
The UK is painfully easy to understand! (Although I should have mentioned that many small islands also come into the UK, including the Channel Islands, not just Northern Ireland.)
Crappy image because they don't seem to be able to tell the difference between Ireland and Northern Ireland (the top-right corner), but you get the point.
Oh, and the territories/provinces thing is pretty similar to our counties, I think. They're just regions within each country.
Cool thanks Aaron that makes sense now.
I also forgot to include Native Reserves which are its own designated areas for which they govern themselves.
