I'm doing that delightfully American thing of writing a spec script for a competition. As part of it they specify it has to be "typed in standard Final Draft (or equivalent) script format".
I've got a joke which relies on a word being pronounced differently to what might be expected. The basic joke is a guy has a filofax, but for pastry recipes (and thus pronounces it "feelofax").
What's the convention on how to offer pronunciation advice in a script without making it look like part of the dialogue? Any tips?
