I think the Gospel was the B-side of the Laughing Gnome which was only re-released after Starman made him a - um - star.

Oh, OK.

I'm now thinking Saint Motel have been listening to the Average White Band.

Good stuff! Liked these two best.

Good stuff! Liked these two best.

Excellent.

The logic is as follows:

Azeb looks like my GP who is a million miles better than my old GP and Eric Bibb is the coolest and youngest looking dude who is well into his 60s. The Ronnie Lane track is a Talksport song. The Howard Jones track is there to show that he can write high brow music. The second Ethiopian track - Tarekegn Mulu - if you keep with it is like their version of Bohemian Rhapsody on Wayne's World with a lot of head shaking. Georgie Fame released his last ever album entitled Swan Songs in 2015 but none of them are available on YT so I chose something else by him. I have an unfashionable liking of Bowie's Space Oddity album hence Free Festival.

And a special word for Kandia Kouyate. That album was one of the comebacks of last year. She has been through every crisis known to man so it is a miracle it was ever released. She is as feisty and uncompromising as she is fearsome. If it seems inaccessible - the voice is not for the faint hearted - run it through the prism of Nina Simone as it is the same sort of attitude although Nina was a shrinking violet by comparison.

Bentcousin (feat. Lord Gabe & Lo-Fye) - Where Do I Belong (NSFW)

Reminds me of The xx & Everything But The Girl.

She has been through every crisis possibly known to man and is as uncompromising and feisty as she is fearsome. I guessed as much. ;)

Knew you would understand the rationality of it all, GK.

I like the link you have posted.

But what is that word starting with an f? It's new to me. :)
